I feel like these books have been in my TBR for entirely too long. But I’ve been kind of hesitant to read them because… well… I read the synopsis and wasn’t sure this type of book would interest me.

Soooo, that’s where you, my lovlinessess reading this come in. You can tell me whether or not to read this. (that is, if you’ve read it before) Has this series even ended yet? I haven’t been keeping up with it but I’m pretty sure a new book just came out in this series??

Yeah. Idk.

  1. I’ve read the first… three books in this series? I liked them (gave them mostly 3-4 stars or so), but I liked Richelle’s Vampire Academy books a lot more. >_<

    • Gosh! Okay because I’m really looking forward to reading these. Can you believe I’ve never even read Vampire Academy?? But EVERYONE loved them! Gosh! I’m so behind it’s not even funny. :/

  2. What are you tlaking about, girl?! Of course you should read them! Although I’d prefer you to wait so we can read together XP I’m starting Frostbite soon and when I’m done with the original trilogy I’ll get to this one 😀

    • Bet! Girl just name the time and place! Wehenever you get done with your series, just let me know so we can start Bloodlines together. (You’ll be my first buddy read so I’m looking forward to it!) <3

  3. I didn’t even attempt this series since I didn’t like VA. I understand that they’re 2 different genres, but it’s hard for me to take that leap and read this adult series. Maybe you should start it so that I can see if it’s worth reading.

    • Dang, really? (I *cough* have never read VA Sooooo. yeah) I’m super behind. I KNOW, I KNOW. I’ll let you know how I like Bloodlines and whether or not you should give it a try girl. <3

  4. I’ve only tried the first book in the first series but I heard so many great things about these ones. I know I need to try as well

  5. I bought a copy of Bloodlines, only because I hear it’s better than Vamp’ Academy. I hope it’s good, and I hope you read and like it!

    • So you haven’t read it yet? I haven’t even started VA and want to see what the fuss is all about! (Crosses fingers that it’s as awesome as everyone says!) hehe

  6. I didn’t even gave this series a try because I read from other reviewers that Sage (the MC in this series) is kind of a bore compared to Rose (the MC from VA) and I LOVE ROSE! She’s like my literary bff. But I still suggest that you give it a try, that way you can’t say that you’re missing out 😉

    • I KNOOWWW. I don’t want to feel like I’m missing out anymore. (Also, Rose sounds AWESOME! I’m sooooo ready for another literary BFF.) Excited! <3

    • Her faerie series? (BTW, Faerie, is a terribly awkward word and I had to respell it 2x!) Goodness. I haven’t read nor watched VA.(And yes Lanie, it IS in fact ironic that you didn’t like the books but LOVED the movie.) hehe

      • I know right? Faeries got like twenty spellings to it, lets narrow it down people.lol. You should watch the movie, I lurved it and the Immortal Instruments movie was fantastiiiiiic!

    • Heeennaa you ROCK! Thanks girl <3 Really appreciate it! And sorry about the technical difficulties you had. My blog is known to go bonkers on me every once in a while.

  7. I haven’t read these books but I have been intending to read something by Richelle Mead. I am also doubting between starting with this one or with the Vampire Academy series. All these decisions and books to read ><

  8. I’ve only read the Vampire Academy series but I have these as well, in fact all but the last one and have been debating for a long time of whether or not to read them. I loved Adrian in VA but..I kind of want him to stay the way I already had him pictured. Does that make sense? I’m so weird when it comes to spin off series. Sometimes they work for me and sometimes they don’t.

    • YES! I completely agree and yes I understand. I’m usually always hesitant with reading a spin off series because I’m alway like: well… what if I don’t like the new characters and can’t connect with them? What if the plot doesn’t give me all the feels I’m searching for? I can relate! 🙂

  9. I have read all the books in both the Vampire Academy series and the Bloodlines series, and in my opinion you would enjoy this series better if you have read VA first. Sydney and Adrian (my very first real BB) were introduced in that series and you learn so much about them there. You may not connect as well with them otherwise.
I have read A LOT of Mead’s books, and I love her work!

  10. I’ve not read her books though I have Vampire Academy’s first on the pile for eventual reading pleasure. The blurb sounds interesting so I say go for it when the mood strikes you. 😉

    • Yay! I will but now I just have to finish reading this one series I’m in so I can start. I hope you get to it one day because I’ve been hearing a bunch of good things about the series.♡♡
