Ava Thompson left her one true love, Jasper White, to unearth her destiny. It was the only way for Ava to grow into the woman she’s always wanted to become.
Sadly, that destiny has led her back to the place that broke her … Singapore.

And more importantly, it has led her back to the man who broke her … Harper.

Ava is no longer the scared, lost girl she once was. She is stronger and determined to accomplish her dreams in order to find happiness. Hopefully, at the end of it all, she will return into the loving arms of Jasper White.

Six months later, Ava travels back to Los Angeles for an event that embraces the true meaning of love. Sadly for Ava, her meaning of true love has been lost.

Los Angeles is not how Ava left it. Things have changed. People have changed. She has changed. However, what has remained untouched is her passionate love for Jasper White.

Surrender to me:

How do you tell two people that are obviously meant to be together to squash their beef when neither one of them are willing to listen?

My face was in a scowl for the first couple of chapters…

There is so, so much going on and not to mention how mad I was at the fact that six months have passed (and we have no idea what has happened in that short time span in the beginning but it’s obvious by the first page that…. a lot has changed and not for the best I’m afraid.

Ava is on a plane from Singapore to LA after almost a year. The reason for her return is V, her BFF, is getting married!! Eek! Super happy for her.

But, the trip home isn’t full of magical butterflies, puppy dog tails, and rainbows. It’s a sad one mainly due to the fact of who she brought back with her.

Ugh. Like.. who flippin’ cares?

That guy gets under my skin. He’s back in Ava’s life and even though he insists that he’s a changed man and wants Ava back I’m still skeeved off by him for some reason. I’m upset that Ava unwittingly allowed him valuable space in her life again considering their past.

But things get super heated when Jasper and Ava meet up again in an unexpected circumstances. When they see each other again, it’s obvious their feelings are still there. Keep in mind that we still have no idea of what happened to their relationship during those six months apart.

My heart literally palpitated in my chest when Jasper showed back up. I was gripping my Kindle, eagerly anticipating his return.

And oh, when he did, I was just like:

*Break dances on the floor in excitement*

So with the wedding approaching Ava and Jasper have to settle their differences for better or worse.

Things between Ava and Jasper aren’t good.

At all.

It saddens me that these two had so much going for them but now they are like total strangers to each other. But that’s just how things are in life sometimes. When Jasper and Ava finally do get together, their desire and love for one another is still off the roof but sadly, they’re still too blind/stubborn to admit their feelings.

I never really cared for Harper due to the way he treated Ava when they were together. So, not a huge fan of his.

I wanted to spin kick Ava in the throat when she kept blindly going back to him. I mean obviously I knew he wasn’t good for her and the bad part about it was that she knew it too!

V is the most awesomest best friend and always understanding of Ava’s not so smart decisions. And Lucas, her fiance is super sweet and sexy. (Also swoon worthy) 😉

Indie, Jasper’s on and off girlfriend is back and annoying as ever. *Cough, cough*

But onto Jasper White and his sexy self. 😉 Mmm Hmm.

This was a super fun read! If you’re in love with hot romance, relatable characters, a good time, and a happy ending, this IS the book for you!♥

Is this the second book to the series Keionda? Haha I was so confused with what the heck was going on, especially when you were saying that 6 months had passed. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it overall, Jasper sounds like a swoon-worthy love interest 🙂

OMG I love the lattes! Did you redo them? Or am I that observant, lmao. This book sounds rife with character drama I don’t wanna deal with lmao … for a romance reader, I do not enjoy drama much at all. I’m thinking I’ll pass, but I loved the review. Made me laugh!

    • Hehe yesssss. I redid the lattes but I think this is my first time actually using them. 🙂 hopefully one day I’ll be as awesometastical as you in the designing dept. Hehe and yes! I MUST have drama and MUST have romance. But sometimes drama tends to get in the way. 😉
