Book two in the New York Times and USA Today bestselling series.

It was a silly bet. She never imagined it would tear her carefully crafted world apart.

Claire Nixon is a twenty-year-old college dropout with a secret. To Claire, Adam Parker is just another flirty customer at the cafe, until a chance encounter and seemingly innocent comment spurs a bet between them. The bet is simple: If Adam can get Claire to reveal the secret that made her drop out of college, she has to re-enroll. If he doesn’t succeed, she gets to keep her secret and he has to stop stalking her at the cafe.

Claire thinks she has this one in the bag. She’s perfected the art of forgetting her past. But she isn’t prepared for Adam’s relentless pursuit or for him to share his own secrets. And she’s definitely not prepared for her rock star ex, and her secret, to come banging down her door one year later.

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language, drug use, and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Pieces of me for me was a freaking lovely page turner!!!

Note to reader: although this book says it’s the first in the series beware that it really isn’t.  There is a book ahead of this one called Forever ours (link) So I suggest you guys read that one first because everything in it will make more sense. Don’t make the same mistake that I did. 😉

That is all. 🙂

I seriously couldn’t get enough of this book! From the very first page of was hooked and didn’t want to stop reading not even for essential human habits like sleep. I mean really who even needs sleep when I could be reading? Right away I was immersed into Claire’s story and found myself wanting, no NEEDING, to know more about her story.

Claire is running away from her past and get this… she has a huge secret that she won’t tell anyone.  No one but her best friend Senia knows. It makes you a exerts the reader dying to know more!

She wants to remain a closed book and keep her past on the low but that is until she meets Adam. He’s super sweet and I love how much he respects her. I could tell how much he really cares and b out her every time they were together.

♥Hella sexy

In the words of Claire he is so sweet I’m going to need a dentist!  🙂

Claire struggled so much to be true to herself and just let go of her past relationship with Chris Knight (A.K.A. her first love, A.K.A. now a famous singer.)

But slowly, she finds herself opening up to Adam but then shut right back down again. All throughout the day I HAD to keep coming back to my Kindle to see what else was happening with the story.

I also liked how the author provides the reader with a Playlist inside of the book (ebook version ) so you can really feel the book come alive. Although I have to admit i, ehem, may or may not have skipped some songs because I just wanted to read more of Carrie’s story.

Even though I really liked this method of getting the reader involved more in the story and it was super unique considering I’ve never seen r his in a book before but it was a bit of a distraction at times.

I love the writing style of the author. It’s a mix of sarcasm and humor with enough detail to give you rhetoric main picture of setting and character description.  I am slap like the fact that the back story is revealed piece by piece and bot dumped in us all at once.

Because that wouldn’t be a fun read now would it be?

It was honestly a huge treat reading this book! I can remember being so anxious to get back and read more about Claire and Adam. They are just too cute together! 😉 If you read this I gurantee you won’t be disappointed.

                                            Five steaming lattes. 😉

  1. I really loved this book. When I read it years ago, I didn’t know that there was a book before this one. I thought that this was the first book in the series. Which, didn’t matter because I still loved it.

    • Omg I’m still obsessed over this book! Well the series in general. Idk why BUT Adam started to get annoyed to me in the last book. I was just like: why are you even here ? Are you team Chris Knight or Adam? ; )
