And Claire’s first love, rock star Chris Knight, is back in her life.Chris wants his ex-girlfriend back. Both he and Claire know that only Chris has the power to mend the final missing piece of Claire’s shattered heart. But Claire’s strength is tested as she is forced to confront the demons she’s been running from for more than a year.
Now Claire must choose between a long-distance relationship with Adam and a second chance at true love, family, and home with Chris.
New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language, drug use, and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
Hmm.. so when I first started this book I was very skeptical about it due to the fact that it is told not only in three different POV’S which I grudgingly accepted in the first book, forever ours(link) but it’s told in three different perspectives!
This is a new record for me because I have never dared read a book with so many different thoughts and voices believing that the voices would start to mix together.
I still can’t help but think that the second book, Relentless, was a waste of time and space. Yes I understand Claire had to move on but why in the world did Adam come in the picture in the first place? Granted, Claire had to move on with her life but….
IDK, maybe it’s just me but it felt wrong. Maybe because I’m so hung up over Chris Knight.
Mmmm Chris Knight… That sexy piece of man there. 😉
“How can I not? You’re the fucking love of my life. You don’t stop loving someone just because they’ve hurt you. Yes, what you did hurt me, but I gain nothing if I stay angry with you. But I might gain everything by forgiving you. You’re my everything. I just want you back.”
I don’t really understand why Claire is blaming Chris so much and basically wrote him out of her life even it’s obvious she still had mad love for him. It’s obvious in the way they look at each other.
I’m obsessed with the author’s writing style. She accurately knows how to paint a picture inside of her head of her Claire and Chris interacting.
The ending did leave me a bit upset and unsatisfied so I’ll be flipping it over to ‘Bring me home,’ the next book. I just can’t wait for Chris and Claire to get back together already! UGH!
I have a ton of mixed feelings around the ending of the book and found myself even swiping the pages on my Kindle to the good stuff. There’s always mixes decisions on who Claire should end up with. I think it’s obvious who I want her to end up with BUT that’s only because I’ve read the prequel to the series Forever Ours and I read about Claire and Chris’s story which gave me about different perspective about their story. I was all gun ho about her choosing Adam but now I’m not so sure.
Both guys fight to win her affections but only one will win. I loved Adam in this book and how strong he was and adamant about getting her back and so was Chris. There is no limit to the love they feel from Claire.
Cassia Leo, why are you doing this to me?? I HAVE TO HAVE MORE CHRIS KNIGHT!
Five steaming lattes. 😉
As usual, thanks for reading guys! Any questions or comments leave them in the comments boxes below! 🙂
