Mankind? Or the Luxen?Together, they can face anything. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
I have to say this is my the favorite book of the entire series!
If you’re interested in sexy romance, mystery, and book-gripping suspense, then Origin IS the book for you!
Things start right back up with Katy stuck in the nasty building of the D.OD. Daemon goes on his way to save her. While inside they find out some secrets that may threaten the human world but how will they be able to stop it? Better yet, will they be able to stop it?
Katy feels that there is more to the D.O.D than what meets the eye. What does that mean exactly?
In the end when Dee, Daemon, and Dawson are faced with a hard decision: Should they go with their kind or will they remain on the human’s side?
This is the first book that takes on the dual P.O.V. aspect an I love it! I usaually don’t care for dual perspectives in a book like this but I have no complaints for this one because Armentrout really played it out perfectly so that it wasn’t annoying and it didn’t repeat information on things that had already happened.
And you guys know already how much I love me some Daemon Black. And so I rather enjoyed reading in his P.O.V. to see what he thought about things and it was interesting also to see how he saw Katy. 😉
It was a hard adjustment to have Katy away from Daemon but not to worry, they aren’t separated for too long. Daemon busts in all macho-like and saves her but not before they run into a ton of complications first…
Apparently the D.O.D. has been busy doing more than making sure the Luxen stay under the radar from the human knowledge. They’ve been experimenting, trying to make a creature even more powerful than the Luxen, and unstoppable.
But then get this… They’re kids. (Well most of them are)
Will the baby Origin turn on Katy and Daemon? Or maybe they could be the one thing that helps them make it out to safety.
Dee starts to come around in this book and by the end, she is almost like herself. Almost two books without having her and Katy together was way too long and I really missed her.
I was satisfied that Blake got what was coming to him and he deserved every bit of what he got from how he betrayed Katy, not once but twice! (Although the way he got it was somewhat shocking….)
I really don’t like Nancy.. IMO she is a total witch for what she did to Katy and did to Beth and Dawson. Her time is coming and I hope it’s sooner than later, just like Blake got his.
So who else suspected Archer was actually Luc’s “Inside man?”
I kind of knew because of the way he was always so nice to her. Whereas everyone else treated her like dirt on the bottom of a shoe.
***Okay, NON-SPOILER people, you are free to return.***
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, Opposition. (Although I’m sad it’s the last one…)
