Being the final book in the series, it means that everything is coming to an end. Katy, Daemon, the story, Daemon…
Guys.. I have serious book despression or more commonly known as book hangover right now.
I knew this was going to happen as soon as I bought the Kindle edition and started reading it. But dang, this is like some serious book depression right here.
I need a tissue please. I can’t continue…
In this final installment of the Luxen world things are coming to a head and so not in a good way.
The story picks right up where the last one ended. The fate of all humankind is threatened upon the arrival of the Luxen. Now these aren’t the nice kind of Luxen. These are the ones that will zap you to ashes and ask questions later.
Daemon has to make a touch decision about whether to chose his kind or stick by Katy’s side and save the human world which would mean betraying his kind. Sides are crossed so there’s no way to tell who is good and who is bad.
What side will he and his family ultimately chose in the end?
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book. It takes you on a wild ride that you’ll remember even years from now. (I’m actually considering re-reading the entire series if I don’t find myself with a new book to take its place.)
I turned out liking Archer a lot more than I thought I would. We get more of his background and how he came to be.
Dee was completely off her rocker in this book. She lets her anger over the fact that Adam got killed and lets it consume her.. (You’ll see what I mean when you read.) I don’t want to give too much away but expect to be shocked. She was such a witch to Katy and I couldn’t believe it!
Completely crazy right?? Who else was just like:
I know I’m not alone.
Man this last one, expect to experience some serious book depression to which you cant recover from. It took me a while to get over the Lux world. I cant wait to dive back in this world in a couple of months!
I’m kind of glad the book didn’t have a completely “happy ending” (You’ll have to read to find out why) But I am still completely satisfied with it because I feel that this was something that had to happen. In life, things don’t always pan out the way we want them and there are rarely are any happy endings if there any at all.
So because of this, I liked the fact that it wasn’t all puppy dogs and rainbows. It makes the plot and characters that much more relatable.
Who else was completely thrown off guard when Katy’s mom was killed at the end?
Right when she got to her house I figured someone was going to pop out and be all like BOOM! But, I definitely didn’t expect THAT. Never in a million years. But when she got in her house and her mom never turned around when Katy called her name, I had that sick feeling in my soul that something bad was about to happen.
I’m still actually sad about it.
Okay NON-SPOILER people, you may return***
All in all this was a very satisfying close for the most awesome series I’ve ever read! I won’t soon forget Daemon, Katy, Dee, or the rest of the group. The way Jennifer L. Armentrout writes leaves you wanting more for a long time to come and it has been an amazing ride!
If you’re interested in sexy aliens, a ton of swoon, mystery, and action, then Opposition IS the book for you!
Let’s see how Opposition rated on the coffee scale, shall we? Yes, yes we shall.
You guys have any suggestions for me or any other book boyfriends that you can recommend me? I need to get over this series quick, fast, and in a hurry before I start really balling here.
I need a Daemon quick fix..
