Pre-med student Caroline "Charlie" Collins, a sophomore at Texas A&M, knows exactly what she wants in life and the order that it will happen: finish college, complete medical school, and then fall in love. A chance meeting with A&M's star quarterback Colin McKinney changes everything. A friendship between the two grows over time and blossoms into a powerful love affair. Charlie and Colin must learn to cope with his transition to playing professional football, the crushing attention of the media, and constant demands of his fans. At the same time, she's struggling with how her dream of attending medical school will fit into their already stressed relationship and Colin's new life. Falling Into Infinity asks the question is just loving someone enough to make a relationship work?

Sooooooo, grad school started, you guys! I don’t know what to think or how to feel about this…. I mean, I’m slightly nervous because I’ve been out of school of a year and a half now and while one doesn’t simply FORGET to school….. THIS IS FRIGGIN’ GRAD SCHOOL….  I’ve heard people CRY during grad school. I even talked to one of my old friends that went through the same program as me and she told me first hand just how stressed out she was and how much she did the WEEPING…Thinking back on it now, I should have probably hung up the phone in her face…..but I kept listening because I LIVE to be tortured….

But, enough running my mouth, onto the book review!

Falling Into Infinity starts out rather odd because it hops back and forth in time. But after you get used to the sporadic chapters, it was oddly gratifying to have it that way. It just felt.. right?

I kid you not. This is one of those books that, once you get into it, you shall not be able to take your eyeballs away. Not even for a second. It took everything in me to snatch myself away from the book for more than two seconds so I could start planning my classes for grad school, but alas…. #BOOKWORMPROBLEMS…

So, here’s the low down:

The two characters, Charlie and Colin (whom I will refer to as sexy Colin for the sake of the review) meet when they are in college, right? Well, I instantly got THOSE HEARTS in my eyeballs because I just knew it was going to be good! And HOLY CAKE BALLS was I CORRECT. As with any relationship, it starts out all happy, and puppy dog tails, and unicorn horns. BUT, things start to get suffocating for Charlie when she needs some space from Collin. She desperately wants to tell him this without hurting his little football heart.

Oh, PSST, did I mention that Collin, is a SEXY football player….????

Well anywho, once he makes it to the big times, he gets even MORE suffocating.. and that just won’t do.. NOPE.

shaking head

So, now Charlie is just like… that’s IT. DIS NOT WORKING NO MO. This girl needed some “me” time in a SERIOUS way.

So she’s all like: “Yo, dude. I need some space here. DO. YOU. MIND??”

But Collin’s all like: “But baby, I LURVE you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. YOU DA ONE.

He just doesn’t get it. All the while Charlie is keeping a secret from him that could ruin them forEVA.

So yeah, drama. EXPLODES. You guys,I have never had my heart hurt due to what was happening in a book… I mean, I HAVE, but it doesn’t happen very often. Being witness to the way these two broke each other was just….. well, for lack of better words, HEART BREAKING.

They both needed the time to mature and to find themselves. So when they meet again unexpectedly again in the future, and the sparks were still flying, I was all like: YASS.

evil grin

So yes, this book TOTS has my vote of approval! I say if you haven’t picked this book up you NEEDS TO. Like, NOW. It’s full of steamy, hot moments, as well as two relatable and messed up characters that have to be broken until they have nothing left.

Now it's your turn 2

Have I convinced you guys to try this series out yet?? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? Oh! And Lemonheads or Sour Gummy Worms?

I didn’t know about this one, but once in a while I like the dramatic second chance ones.

Things can look scary from the outside looking in, but I think as you adjust to being in grad school, it will settle into a routine for you. Wishing you well, Keionda! 🙂

    • I LOVE the second chance books! It always brings so much more to the story, I think! 🙂 And thank you Sophia! GGAH! You’re always so nice and positive! I’ll be staying positive during this journey! Thank you! <3

Great review and yay for grad school! You have definitely convinced me!!

  3. Great review! I have never read a book by this author, but I remember this one all over Goodreads and got spoiled by the romance part. I already know this one will piss me off, so I’ll steer clear of it. I’m glad you loved it!

    • I actually think you should give it a try, girlie! <3 I think you would like it. <3 It’s a second chance love that is SO. FRIGGIN’. SATISFYING. 😉

    Okay, first off…sour gummy worms.

Anyway, I’m glad to hear you liked this one. I just love emotional books that pull you in. We love to be tortured, us readers!

Good luck with grad school! I finished this past December, and it’s not too bad once you get used to things. I know all programs are different though, so I can’t REALLY say, but you know, I’m sure it will go fine! Mine was all online too and that was nice after awhile, but takes a bit to get used to and it’s weird not having people in real life to talk too!

    • Well GIRL! This is one of those books that are going to pull you in and leave you all emotional, you’re not going to know WHAT THE HECK to do with yourself! And thank you! I’m excited to be back in school and trying not to freak out as much! 😮

Don’t worry about grad school! If anyone can survive it, I know you’ll be able to survive it 🙂 So I hope it all goes well and don’t forget about us too much <3 This sounds like a really good book with lots of drama! And yes, sometimes the important thing a relationship needs is a little bit of space!

  6. Ooh, both messed up and broken and then taking a break only to reunite? Sign me up Kei. I don’t typically buy into NA with all the drama and lack of communication between characters, but this sounds so incredibly indulgent that I can’t wait to dive in. And holy hotness! Brilliant review Kei, thrilled that you enjoyed it <3

    • YASS MAAM! This is one book that I really recommend you pick up quick, fast, and in a hurry. There are four books and the are totally worth bingereading! <3
