I don’t know what has been going on with me lately but you guys… I have not been wanting to do ANYTHING. Like, absolutely NUN.
The only thing that I have been good at doing is watching Netflix anddddddd procrastinated, procrastinated, and procrastinated.
Other things I’ve done that I’m, like, totally ashamed of:
- I’ve watched Pretty Little Liars like it wasn’t anyone’s business when I should have been doing homework.
- Woke up from my alarm clock, wanting nothing better to do than fling it across the room when it had the nerve to wake me up. Well, my iPad is my alarm clock so I couldn’t be that extreme but… I wanted to.
I so wanted to.
Since I’ve been procrastinating so much, I thought I would compile together a super short list of things you can do when the procrastination monster comes slapping you in the eyeballs: (Seriously, it is super short…Be warned.)
Sure, you’re doing chores, homework, reading , or whatever it si and then all of a sudden you’re hifi with the need to watch that lat episode of Supernatural or The walking Dead.
You, my friend have been hit with procrastination.
2. GO FOR A RUN.
Whatever kind of excerics that you do will be good for you. Just getting those muscles and adrenaline working may be what it takes to get you to stop procrastinating and to get to the work you to need to do. But if you instead decide that oh, that baby cloud just may be a rain cloud…
3. DRINK SOME WATER.
I don’t know how the science of how water is super-awesometastical in waking you up and all that, but I’ve heard that by simply drinking a glass of cold/room temperature water somehow help gives you that good ‘ol energy? And since you’re totally procrastinating then that means you need a dose of something to slap yo self awake so you can get to the important stuff. Right?
Water is full of vitamins and minerals and all that good stuff so I know it has to be key help you to have more focus and to just stop procrastinating… At least I think so. But, if you decide that hey, I don’t need that water. Water is for babies. I don’t like it and you just like let me go drink that bottle of Root Beer.
Annndddd, wait for it…
You, my friend are just being unhealthy. And you’re still procrastinating.
But on the realies though, sometimes, the only thing you can do is to just force yourself to stop being lazy-balls and just do it. No matter how hard it is to do, no matter how much you’d rather watch Netflix and partake of, like, cupcakes or something, JUST DO IT. You’ll be surprised at how fast you’ll get it done. Just sit your butt down and get it done.
