Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.And then he opened his mouth.Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me.You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.

Can I just take this moment to say how much I adore Armentrout’s writing??

She’s so witty with her banter that both the protagonists Daemon and Katy just roll of the pages at you. Every time I bounce back into this world, I never get bored. It’s like... WHAT KIND OF POWERS DOES ARMENTROUT POSSESS?? To create a world like this, is just so…. EPICALLY EPICAL. It’s like I could reread this series for-EVA and never, ever grow bored of it! ♥ I’m not sure if it’s due to the aliens or the romance or whatever but I, Keionda Lei Lewis, am HOOKED FOR LIFE. I feel like this review is like, ALL over the place because that is just how excited I am over this series! So forgive me in advance if I totally fan girl all the way through.

All right, let’s get into it!

love letter

Sorry for starting this off so formal, I’m just really, really nervous and it’s just that I’m like so in love with you even though you’re FICTIONAL but that’s okay.

You know what? scratch that. Let me start over fresh:

My revised letter to Daemon Black, because he is just a SEXY. Okay, here goes.

new love letter

Eh yo, Daemon. What’s good booiiiiiii?

I know you don’t know me and all that, which totally makes writing this letter to you, SUPA DUPA odd. But I just wanted to let you know that I kind of have this desperate crush on you since like,oh, I don’t know, two years ago?

I know you’re like totally moody all the time ever since  you lost your brother Dawson to the horrible DOD but… you see, I have pain, YOU definitely have pain, so really we’re the classical story of two really messed up people that belong together. I know you hate humans for what they’re doing to you and your family but I’M SO IN LOVE WITH YOU. I’ll take you, mood swings and all. I am not a picky.

Ever since I met you in Obsidian two years ago, I knew you were going to make me fall KOO-KOO-KA-CHU for you. And now that I have…. I mean, I kinda just wanted to out that out there for ya. Ball’s in your court and all that, though.

Keionda Lei

Wow. So, I re-read this letter over again and noticed it kind of sounds… serial killer-ish? So, I’ll most likely be keeping this to myself… or will I? I honestly wish Daemon Black was real because MAN I’d be all over him like pink on a Llama. (Okay, Llamas aren’t pink, but….but… oh, whatever)

Now it's your turn 2

For those of you that HAVE read this glorious series by this equally the always lovely Jennifer L. Armenrout, what did you guys think about Daemon Black? Are you as affected by him as I am? *blushes* For those of you that haven’t yet tried it out, have I convinced you to try it yet?

    • WELLLLL IRL, I’m usually turned off by guys that are cocky and all that but in books I’ll give them a cursory glance because usually I know there’ going to redeem themselves OR they have a good reason as to why they’re like that. 😉 DAEMON BLACK… He is the only exception I’ll probably make. Teehee! <3

  1. I really like Daemon. I have a hard time getting into the books, and that may be because I don’t really like Armentrout’s writing. I know, I suck. But I just can’t seem to read her books and feel anything for the writing. This series is good, and I still need to read the last book.

    • I know you were having a hard time with this series. 🙁 I wish you would have been able to get into it more, but I can understand. Not every book appeals to every reader. 🙂 We’re all different. YOU NEED TO FINISH THE LAST BOOK, LIKE STAT.;) I hope you like it and it redeems itself. <3

Ah, fun! I’ve never written a letter to a character, but that is a great creative idea.

As to Daemon, I loved the series from the start and yes, I think he’s a abso-fab fiction character and would completely want him for a fiction boyfriend if I was younger. 🙂

    • I wanted to try something different with this post. 😉 I liked to write the letter so you should DEF think about it girlie! !It should be easy for you though since you read so many romances. I imagine it would be easy for you to find a swoony guy to write a love letter to. 😉

  3. I read the first two books in this series, but haven’t read the rest yet. I thought he was a bit of a jerk to Katy at first, but it all makes more sense later and I liked getting to know them better. A letter sure is an original way to share your thoughts 🙂

  4. OMG, this post is LIFE. LOL I would marry it if I could (right after marrying Daemon, of course – oh no, that makes me a polygamist ACK!). Love everything about this… right down to your oh-so-gorgeous graphics. 🙂 And Daemon, of course. Daemon, Daemon, Daemon… swoon!

    • HAHAH RIGHT?? I knew you would like it because I know how much of a fan you are of Daemon and the Lux world! <3 He’s just so…. cocky but lovable at the same time! *swoon* *swoon* *swwwooon* 🙂 <3

  5. Nice one! I loved Daemon too… mind you I still need to read the final book in the series. It’d be nice to get all over him, huh?? 😉
